Four Season Safari Lodge

Did you know that leopards are ambush predators?

The Four Seasons Safari Lodge is nestled in the heart of central Serengeti Park amid wide-open plains. Perched on a series of elevated platforms and walkways overlooking an active water hole, it is a perfect way to experience the Serengeti.

Watch elephants drink and play from your private balcony while enjoying an excellent bottle of South African wine selected by the wine steward.

You’ll spend six nights in this extraordinary luxury safari lodge, so unpack and relax as your Serengeti safari unfolds. Explore this vast Park at your own pace or spend a day or two at the Lodge photographing the wildlife drawn to the water’s edge.

Day Five

Birding is one of the more prominent activities in the Serengeti, next to wildlife viewing. The park has over 500 bird species flying over the endless savannah, shrubland in the hills, and riverine forests. Many are rare, like the Kori bustard, secretary birds, and lesser flamingos.

Maasai bush dinner, Four Seasons Safari Lodge

After your afternoon game drive, experience dinner in the bush surrounded by torchlight. Relax with sundowners around a bonfire as your private chef prepares each dish. Maasai warriors, known as moran, keep an ever-watchful eye on the bush while you dine.

The night comes alive in the gathering dusk. You may hear a lion’s hunting grunts, a leopard’s sawing cough, or a hyena’s laughter while sipping brandy.

Day Six

Dine in the Bush

Day Seven

Walking Safari & Exclusive Dining

Four Seasons walking safari

Take a walking safari with the lodge’s resident naturalist and Park Ranger to discover the Serengeti that most visitors never see. Big game and animal tracks come to life as you walk, look, and learn at ground level.

Executive Chef Keith Frisley and his team offer a seven-course menu for your last night, accompanied by South African wines from their premium selection.

A morning game drive is to Seronera’s airstrip. You’ll enjoy a private, non-stop, chartered flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
